But I've seen a talking horse!

This is Zowe doing her Howdy-Doody impression. Tell me what you think she might have said. Be creative and I'll judge them. The winner will get... a hand made card sent from me, to you, with LOVE. I'll give you a week, so get typing.

Well, if you are talking about the old kids show, Howdy Doody, I guess the horse is saying, "Oh, ho, ho, howdy doody." Otherwise, my guess is "Howdy Doody there, pretty lady!"

Paul Train said...

Whee-nee. I have no imagination when it comes to horses' pictures, unless I am there with the horse.

Love you, Dad

Paul Train said...

Unless I was there to see what the horse was doing when it was talking, I wouldn't have any idea what it was saying.

I thought Howdy-Doody was off the air long before you were a twinkle in my eye? I remember Francis the talking mule, and the Mr Ed show with a talking horse, but I don't remember a horse on the Howdy-Doody show.

Paul Train said...

How about this, 'It's Howdy-Doody Time' or 'Where's the food?'

Paul Train said...

'Hello, where's the treat' or 'lets go for a ride'

Paul Train said...

What do you think Zowe said?

Love, Dad

Paul Train said...

I still want to know what you think Zowe said.

Okay! Maybe I had the wrong show? I must have meant Mr.Ed . Sorry, My bad.
I should have set up the circumstance... We were leaving and Milon had just had a long bickering with the other horse, to which she was not afraid to tell him that she had brought that food for Zowe and not him. She nibbled her food and graciously received all of her good byes, then from out of nowhere her mouth opened and there you have it, she said something without even making a sound... what did she say?

rainstorm said...

HUGE HUGS EVERYONE!

Paul Train said...

I guess she was just saying 'Thank you & good-buy'?

Paul Train said...

Horses are not stupid, they know what is going on.

Paul Train said...

So what's next, on 'Too Young To Know Everything?

Even when you get old, you don't know everything because you forget what you knew when you were young.

Love, huggs & Kisses, Dad

Do you remember the horse I bought for your mother when you were a baby? Her name was 'Horse of Course' and she looked like Zowe an awfle lot.

We also had a donky and her colt for awile. You kids used to ride on the donky colt. That was before 'Horse of Course' came to live with us.

Love you, Dad

rainstorm said...

I remember the name "Horse of Course" but I don't remember ever knowing it. unless it was the one I fell off of and got a big scrape from? I only have one memory of a horse and that is it. I remember mom got mad at me and told me I just needed to get back on her. I was petrified and very sad that my mom didn't even care for my booboo. I don't remember a donkey.

Paul Train said...

You were only 4 or 5 years old when we had the donkeys and the horse. I don't even remember what happened to the donkeys for sure, but I remember the little coral and leanto shelter out back of the swimming pool where we kept them for awile. I think your mother sold, or gave, them to someone with more space. When 'Hourse Of Course' was there she kept braking down the coral and escaping.

Paul Train said...

You were too small to get on 'Hourse Of Course' by yourself.
I only remember your mother and me riding her, and the only time I rode her was when she would escape, and I would find her and bring her home.

Love you, Dad

Paul Train said...

Talked to Matt yesterday, between shuttling people around, and he said he was bucked off a hourse he and Anita were on, and your mother did the same thing with him, but he wouldn't get back on the horse, and your mother was mad at him for it. He said a friend of your mother, your mother and his mother would take a whole bunch of you kids to a horse riding stable and rent horses to ride. He says he never got over it, and he still doesn't like to be around horses. Oh well.

Matt says he also remembers me stomping around mad because "Hourse of Course' had escaped, and I was going to have to go find her.

The only time I remember being mad was when Animal Control picked her up, and I was going to have to bail her out.

Love you, Dad

Pulled a mussel in my abdomen Monday. It is sore, and last night I had a hard time sleeping. I’ll be glad when it heals, as I have a lot of work to do around here.

I am a busy Mom, catch up with me on my other blog(trueHaveNoClue), I'll try putting some new pictures on soon.

Dad,
Are you feeling better? Matt and I are remembering similar experiences. I don't blame him for being reserved around horses. I feel the same way myself. They are large, unpredictable creatures. I still think they are beautiful, though ;)

I will also be taking Mary Mom to her work at Silvercrest Residence in Santa Rosa. When I get back, I will need to works on the Books, make some deposits at the bank and pay some bills, and send off the Mortgage payment.

Busy day for you huh? How did it go? I tried to fit as much house-work in that I could.I was trying to make up for the lack of ability these past couple of weeks, with everything else taking priority and all. I think I had about ran out of clean cloths. Scratch that... the whole family was out of clean clothes. I was on the verge of wearing a sack, just to have something to wear ;) I have so much left to do, it's not even funny. But the good news is my bathrooms are sparkling and that means you no longer feel the need to wipe, before you sit, HA Ha Ha!Well enough funnies about my house work. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Happy Day, my Daddy.

Paul Train said...

Well it is 9:10 PM now, and I need to get up to the house. I just came in here to feed the cat, and found the computer was still running.

Have a SkySoX game with my boy for school Thursday. I hope it is a nice day, or it may be hard to stay. We did get a little rain today, but not much. At this point any sign of something other than snow is a welcomed sight. We had a snow storm on May day, about three inches. It felt like Christmas on the first day of May. We are usually well into the rainy season at this point.I spent today making cookies, doing my calling for church and spoiling Mom for dinner and a movie here at home. Tracy has been in Veil all week and will be home Thursday night. I cant wait, I hope my week will slow down then ;)

Ashley (oldest granddaughter here) just asked me to give her a ride to work at 10AM. I just got back from taking Mary Mom to work in Santa Rosa. I spend anywhere from $200 to $400 a month just for gasoline these days shuttling people around in my truck. Mary Mom doesn't drive anymore.
When you were a baby I did a heck of a lot more driving, and only spent $20 to $40 a month for gasoline.
Oh well, that's life I guess.
