But always loveing being with my young

This was taken on Monday March 17, 2008 on this day the kids did get a snow day for school, but there was only about two to three inches, that day. Not enough to play in. So we played indoors instead. This is our beautiful temple we built after playing Jenga ( I think that's how it's spelled).

Does this temple look like the one you go to? Love you Joyce, Dad

The temple is quite different than the one we made, but it does resemble most temples with it's tall steeple on top in the center of the building.

By the way, Jenga is how it is spelled, it is right on the blocks of wood that you play with. Must be a new kind of game?

Love you, Dad

Hi Joyce, saw your post on my blog. Thanks! I'm assuming you mean my bro-in-law Mike: He's doing ok. Lots of medical issues going on right now. Seizures and cramping/twitching of leg muscles. The doctors don't know what's causing it. He's having an MRI today to see if they can learn more. This has been going on since January. He's hasn't been working. Luckily, he's walking more now. Although it's slow going, but at least he's up and around. I'll let you know more as we find out some answers.

Lisa,
I didn't know Mike was not doing well. I haven't seen or kept contact with him since we left California 3 1/2 years ago. I was just curious what might be going on in his world. I wonder if he has been checked for blood clots? The reason why I ask is because my friend's husband had some issues with his legs and he pretty much felt sick for the longest time and it turned out he had a blood clotting disorder.

On a more happier note, has he found his Eternal companion yet? He was always a neat guy who I always thought I needed as my brother-n-law. I hoped he had found his true love even though he wasn't a part of my family. I just remember how kind, sweet, and loving he was... always.

Oh! Who are you serving with in the young women's program? The young women on your page looked so happy and full of life. I know it takes a youthful group of ladies to keep up with the girls now-a-days. I loved the activity you did, and went looking for Jenny's web sight, but didn't find the ideas you had found. Where did you find them?

Glad to hear back from you so soon. If you don't mind sharing, I would love to know how Mike's MRI turned out. He will be on my mind until then. Thanks for your kindness, you are Awesome.

If you go to www.jennyphillips.com and click on the 102 Activities for Youth. you'll have to put in your email address to join her mailing list and then submit. It will give you a list of books. Click on the 102 Activities and there it is. She has some really cute ideas.
She does the music for the youth themes each year. I love her songs. There are 2 on my playlist: To Become Like Him and Makers Touch. Click on them and listen. She's awesome. I buy her CD's for my family. Even though my kids are young they like the messages in her songs. Especially Aubrey.

Heidi Jensen is our President (she moved here from the Silvercreek Ward almost 2 years ago. Deborah Miller is the 2nd counselor. The two of them get all the ideas. I have no creativity in me whatsoever.

Mike is still single. He hasn't found her yet. I'll let you know what happens with his tests when we find out.

Got into an arguement with Matt yesterday, he started it, and now I know why he can't get along with Sharon. It's because he is to self-sentered, and he doesn't leave room for other peoples' love. Oh well, I love him anyway. Sharon loves him too, but he just pushes her away, because she needs more loving than he is willing to give her.

Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest. It hurts me that I can't be as happy with him as I am with the rest of you.

Love, Dad

Dad,
I do believe that bi-polar is what they are calling his problem now-a-days :) and I think we all have a little bit of it messing up our jeans/minds. The best thing you can do is to love them, even when they are punks to us and others that we love. Trust me I know how hard that must be for everyone felling the sting of their selfish words. But they need us to be strong for them, because that is what "OUR FATHER" wants us to do. I'm sorry you have been hurt, But I'm glad you were willing to share. I Love You! God Bless ;)

Lisa,
Is Deborah Miller of relation to you? I don't think I know either of the women you are serving with. I think one of her songs was the 2006 theme song for the youth. That was the last time I have served in the Young Woman's program.

I have played a couple of the songs from your blog and they are beautiful.

I look forward to some news about Mike. Until then, HUGS for you and Heavenly Blessings too ;)

Lisa,
Sorry about the bad form of my last comment, It really is 1:40 here, and I'm not quit all here.

There's a country and western song about a fathers' love out there, and I believe it's true. I love all my children, even when they do things I don't like, or they do things that are not right.

Love you, Dad

PS. Even my step-children.

You know? I would like being with my young too, but things didn't work out that way. Most of you are in different parts of the country.
Such is life?

Love you my Joyce Katie, Dad

Deborah Miller is a Hughes. Her parents are John and Karen Hughes. I'm not sure if you remember them. She has twin brothers name Daniel and Michael as well as some other siblings. Her husband Miller is not related to us.

Jenny Phillips has done the music for the youth for the past few years. One of her cds was called Daughter of a King. It was beautiful as well. Loved it!!

No news about Mike as of yet. A PA recently told him that some of the problems in his legs might stem from his spine. She recommend seeing a chiropractor. His Mom can't really get him to go because he says his back doesn't hurt. Trying to get him to understand that it doesn't have to, but can still cause problems if he has a pinched nerve or something. I'll let you know.

I just love your positive and loving demeanor. I also enjoy reading the dialogue b/w you and your Dad. That's so sweet

At 64 years of age, I'm still "too young to know everything", but I do know I do love you my Joycie.

I feel so loved by my Dad. I owe this to the blessing of this modern age. Heavenly Father has made it easier for us to communicate through our blogs. I didn't know how much I meant to my Father until H.F. put the curiosity of this thing called a blog into my path. My Dad has always been a computer guy and now I can benefit from his skills and communicate with him every day. I am so blessed.SMILES

Mike got his MRI results back and they didn't show anything. So, he's back to square 1 trying to figure out what's going on. Frustrating!!
